Youth Counselors

 Youth Counselors – Second and Third Shifts

Provides daily care and monitoring for boys ages 6 to 21, who are challenged with a wide range of emotional, mental and behavioral disorders, in compliance with COA standards and state, federal and agency regulations. Youth counselors provide support, services and supervision in all aspects of residential care including but not limited to daily living skills, individual treatment plans, recreation and education. Youth counselors monitor behaviors and respond to behavioral irregularities or problems, sometimes by using de-escalation tactics and initiating or participating in physical restraints.

 

This position requires energetic individuals who enjoys working with and engaging children and are comfortable in their own skin. This full-time, 40 hour a week position requires physical, mental and emotional strength and endurance for long periods of time.

 

Starting pay is $8.00 to $9.00 per hour, with a .50 differential for second shift; Minimum 5% increase in six months. Holiday and weekend work is required. The position requires candidates to be at least 21 years of age, possess a minimum of a high school diploma or GED and a valid Indiana driver license and basic computer skills. Experience working with similar population preferred but not required.

Benefits include health, dental, vision after 90 days of employment; 22 paid days off per year (12 during first year).

 

Medical Assistant

Provides support to medical professionals in day to day operations of health services for residents of our treatment facility.

 

Candidates must be at least 25 years of age with a good driving record, as position requires some transporting.

 

 Prefer degree and/or medical assisting certification. Must be able to work with limited supervision and accommodate flexible scheduling. Experience with special populations preferred.
