Mary E. Hill Facility Tour
Mary E. Hill Facility:
This is a secure unit for the sexually maladaptive
youth treatment program. Boys ages thirteen to twenty-one can reside here.
These children attend school for half a day at Richmond Community Alternative Schools
on the grounds of Richmond State Hospital . They eat meals in the
Wellness Center
cafeteria with the other boys from Mary E. Hill and the staff assigned to them.
The unit features three distinct wings allowing for on-site group treatment.
There is also an orientation wing for new admissions.

They are able to leave campus for short recreational
activities as long as they are in the correct staff to resident ratio, which is
1:4.
All of their day is scheduled, and they participate in planned, structured
recreational activities only.
